Here I am listing the 10 things you should consider while writing and posting a content in the emerging voice search era.

  1. Start the content with the most appropriate answer to the post heading
  2. Add FAQ section in content Or Create contents based on the questions
    • Include more questions in content
    • Use natural language/conversation type style of writing
  3. Use structured data across website for improving the communication between the search engines and web pages.
  4. Optimize the content for search engine algorithm.
    • Optimize the sub heading for long tail searches based on the words “how”, what” and “best”.
    • Include the most appropriate answer to the question at the top of the page, immediately following the header.
    • Wrap the content inside the most appropriate tags
      • Use P tag for paragraphs
      • Use TABLE tag for tables
      • Use UL/OL & LI for building lists
  5. Optimize for “near me” keywords (only if you are providing a local service)
    • Get listed in Google & Bing local
    • Build local citation
    • Use location schema to optimize the website locally
  6. Improve mobile user experience
  7. Increase website speed
  8. Get HTTPS for domain
  9. Make sure that website is not blocking search engines from accessing CSS, JavaScript, Slider files, images, audios, videos, etc.
  10. Avoid using flash – Use vector graphics if required

I am following these things to optimize my website for voice searches. I believe that no website an survive in the voice search era without proper voice search optimization.
